About me

...an introduction for the sake of politeness

Hi, I'm Isabel, mostly known as Harpy. I am a 19 year old college student interested in computer science, engineering, and many different types of art. I love creating things in many different aspects, and being able to show my work and growth to my friends is one of my greatest motivations.

Big fan of IIDX and BMS. I've dabbled in many arcade rhythm games with control schemes more interesting than 4k, but what captures my attention the most is BMS. I also enjoy playing older games and collecting old technology! My favorite systems would be the NDS Lite and the SNES, although nowadays I don't spend as much time with the hobby as I'd like.

I think one of my favorite things to do is to find what made older things great and trying to bring that substance onto the things I make. I'm not one to entirely romanticize things that I am not entirely aware of nor I'm part of, but I try to find the ideas and aesthetics of it and I try to bring that uniqueness onto the things that I create. However, it's quite difficult for me to finish a project the way that I want to.

It's quite hard to describe everything that I like to do, but some of the interests that I've had throughout my life have been Game Development, Retro Game Collecting, Older Technology, Music Production, Skinning, Public Facing Electronics, Engineering, and Design. It's truly hard to describe what exactly fascinates me, but I think that if something has substance and feels cool to do/have, I enjoy it. I want to create things that make others feel the things that I do, to make and bring the aspects that I see on works of art and improve on it in my own way. Hopefully I can expand these ideas in my blogs, so stay tuned to hear those ramblings.

Some more personal facts about myself are that I like cute and pretty things. I do enjoy indulging on overly feminine things from time to time, and my favorite animal would of course be rabbits. I am the #1 rabbit fan larper though, as I actually know nothing about them, but still, they're quite cute! I would be best described as passionate yet annoying. My personality is quite Hot and Cold, but I'm always working towards being more open and sincere
